Dog Calming Products

There are many products on the open market today to help your dog with Anxiety & Stress. Wall Plug in's that will emit an aroma to calm you dog, Along with calming collars, sprays, Pills, Shampoo's & natural calming dog chews. It seems to be that many dog owners who have behaviour problems with their dog look to these calming products in the hope to find a resolve. They often become frustrated in many cases when the magic product does not eradicate the issue that they are having. When is comes to bad behaviour in dogs it is suggested that you seek professional help, There is not a magic pill.

This has been shown in product review after product review when it comes to do calming. 

Dog's are much like children, If your child had behaviour issues I would like to think that your resolve would not be to give them a sleeping pills to silence them. More time should be taken to try and understand what is going on with your dog, And what is the route cause. Calming products do have their place where you have naturally nervous dogs that suffer from Stress & Anxiety and calming products is where they often tend to help most.

Sales of calming products leading up to Guy Fawkes Night tends to increase, as many owners are aware that their dog tend to become Stressed, Scared, Anxious, and display Nervousness during this period. So they reach for the magic product as it is easiest thing to do. They go online click a few buttons and have the magic formula arrive. 

The Alternative

I had this very issue myself, I have three dogs and the week leading up to Fireworks Night they would become stressed, and Anxious with the continuous sound of fireworks, And this is what I did.

4-5 weeks before fireworks night I used my Alexa and ask it to play firework sounds. ( Try it ) I began playing these sounds on my Alexa on a low volume (level 3) Whenever I went out, I would just leave it playing. When I was in the home I would play the sound for 10 minutes at a louder volume (level 6-7). Within 3-4 weeks my dogs were now accustomed to the sound of fireworks and when it came to fireworks night they were very calm and hardly noticed. Personally I see this as the correct fix, Don't you?
